Ingredients
½ cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, melted
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 can (20 oz.) pineapple slices, drained
8 Maraschino cherries, halved
1 package Betty Crocker Super Moist Yellow Cake Mix
1 cup pineapple juice
3 large eggs
½ cup vegetable oil
Baking Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 F.
- Melt butter with brown sugar in a saucepan until both ingredients mix well. Remove from heat.
- Pour the mixture butter into a 9×13 baking pan. Arrange pineapple slices on top of the mixture and place cherries in center of each pineapple, set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine cake mix, eggs, pineapple juice and vegetable oil.
- Beat with an electric mixer at medium speed for 2 minutes.
- Pour batter evenly over pineapple in the baking pan.
- Bake 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Then, it’s done.
- Cool 10 minutes before remove from pan. Invert onto serving plate.
